The Repurpose Project announces its Halloween Masquerade & Ghost Tour with The Grim Repurposer on Saturday, October 27th from 7pm-midnight. Join us, in disguise, for a spooky evening of dancing, ghost stories, puppetry, photo booth, salvaged material costume contest for children and adults, Satchels Pizza, First Magnitude Beer, Swamphead Beer, tarot card reading, and intrigue. The ghost tour of The Repurpose Project with The Grim Repurposer is sure to send shivers down your spine.
Costumes are required. If you are not in disguise you will be ushered to our costume tent to choose or create a costume. Admission is $5-15 sliding scale (if in costume), $15-20 sliding scale (if you use our costume – you get to keep the costume for Halloween). We LOVE Halloween at The Repurpose Project, but factory made costumes intended for one night of use are a little too scary for us. The environmental harm from Halloween pop-up shops gives us night terrors, which leads us to our Green Halloween Salvaged Material Costume Making Workshops.
Green Halloween Costume Making Workshops will be held at The Repurpose Project on October 13th, 20th, and 27th from 3-5pm. These workshops are free and include tools, tables, and help with ideas and construction. Bring your own salvaged material to create with or purchase what you want at our store. We want to make this Halloween a green one, and we have all the salvaged materials you need to make an amazing costume. Let’s return to the times when you spent a memorable day making your costume with your friends, parent, grandparent or other loved ones. Let’s bring the creativity back to Halloween.
This event is a fundraiser for The Repurpose Project. Our longtime goal of developing a permanent event space is getting closer, and we need funding to help us with the necessary infrastructure. Although we are a retail store, we are very aware that there is more to life than stuff. Our goal is to create a permanent, all-inclusive, family-friendly event space and encourage people to spend quality time together surrounded by good music and art. Join us for a mysterious evening of intrigue, dancing, and delight and help us make this dream a reality. Let’s spend time together….whoever you are behind that costume.
