Plastic Pollution Series

The Repurpose Project is excited to bring you a 4-part educational program about Plastic Pollution. This program, in collaboration with Zero Waste Gainesville, will have 3 live ZOOM presentations and a screening of The Story of Plastic to watch on your own. Registration is required.

Amanda Waddle, The Repurpose Project’s Director of Zero Waste and a Break Free From Plastic core member will present these live ZOOM presentations and schedule the viewing of The Story of Plastic for you. You will gain a great understanding of the problem of plastic pollution while also engaging in some action items and activities. This program wraps up with solutions and best practices.

Schedule of program:

Part 1 – What’s the Big Deal about Plastic? – Wednesday, October 7th, 7pm EST OR Saturday, October 10th, 10am EST (same live presentation via ZOOM, presented twice- choose 1)

Part 2 – Screening of The Story of Plastic – Viewing date TBD

Part 3 – Post Screening Discussion – The Story of Plastic – Wednesday, October 21, 7pm EST OR Saturday, October 24, 10am EST (same live presentation via ZOOM, presented twice – choose 1).

Part 4 – A Solution to Plastic Pollution: Zero Waste Communities – Wednesday, October 28, 7pm EST OR Saturday, October 31st, 10am EST (same live presentation via ZOOM, presented twice, choose 1)

This is a free event but donations to The Repurpose Project are strongly encouraged. The Repurpose Project is developing several educational programs and these programs take staff a lot time to create. Donations will help us continue to create these programs.
