The Repurpose Project is excited to announce its annual Winter Festival & Green Gift Fair which will be held on December 4th, 2015 from 5-9pm. Join us for a festive evening of hot apple cider, local artisans with handmade crafts, photos with Green Sustainable Santa, live music on outdoor stage, kids crafts, Satchels Pizza, vegetarian chili, local beer and holiday cheer. Visit our Green Gift Fair Crafter’s Village of local artists featuring handmade and repurposed gifts and browse our shop for reclaimed guilt-free gift shopping. We are pulling out some vintage gift worthy treasures from the back!
Live music on the outdoor stage by:
Endless Pools-Surf rock jams
As Is-Local all-woman rock n’ roll trio
Lakitas de Gainesville-Local Chilean/Indian PVC panflute & drum ensemble
& more to be announced!
All ages, family friendly event. $3-5 suggested donation.
There will be a Repurpose Gift Wrapping station featuring traditional and not so traditional gift wrapping solutions(bring your gifts to wrap or just wrap the treasures you find here)! There will also be crafting stations to create your own unique repurposed gifts for loved ones!
The concept for the festival was born out of Repurpose Project’s desire to emphasize treading lightly on the planet during this season of heightened consumerism and to focus on togetherness and community. The evening will promote buying local, handmade, and reclaimed gifts with a festive backdrop of holiday lights, warm drinks & music to be enjoyed with your family, friends and loved ones. Buy used, buy repurposed, and let’s make this holiday season a green one!
Here is our facebook event page!!! Spread the word!!
And don’t forget that Repurpose Project Gift cards are available!
