The Repurpose Project is a friendly, creative, and fun place to volunteer!

Because we receive a high volume of material, we rely on volunteers to help process, package, and organize donations. We welcome volunteers who can commit to a regular schedule as well as one-time service groups. We are a fabulous place to fulfill community service hours.

Projects may include sorting, packaging, cleaning, organizing materials, and occasionally a hearty project in the yard. Let us know if you have any special skills that you think could help us out, such as fixing electronics, building maintenance, identifying antiques, or anything else!

To get started, all volunteers must attend an hour long orientation.  Once you’ve attended an orientation, you can schedule your volunteer shifts with our volunteer coordinator. Everyone is warmly welcomed to join us!

Volunteer orientations are held on the third Saturday of each month.

Email our volunteer coordinator to let us know you will attend volunteer@repurposeproject.org

***These group volunteering events are on hold due to covid, but please check back!*** If you are looking for a drop in experience, we invite you to join us for one of our evening volunteer socials. These begin with a brief introduction to the Repurpose Project and our mission, followed by a lively evening of music, sorting, packaging, and repairs. Some items are just too much for our staff to keep up with – we really appreciate help with fabrics, jewelry, hardware…. just sign up on the calendar up to 24 hours before the event. These are great opportunities to meet other folks who are interested in repurposing, reusing, and creating art from trash. These volunteer events are an opportunity for zero-waste fun, cross-pollination of creative ideas, and even making new friends. Win, win win! ***These group volunteering events are on hold due to covid, but please check back!***

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us!
