Drawing Workshop with Comic Artist Roxanne Palmer

In this class we’ll be using the material menagerie of the Repurpose Project to inspire some sequential art. Students will practice some practical still life drawing and depth techniques before launching into visual storytelling exercises, culminating in a mixed media piece. Students should bring paper or a sketchbook to draw on, and whatever mark-making tools they want (pencils, pen, marker). The Repurpose Project will also have paper and pens/pencils available included in price of workshop.

Roxanne Palmer is a comics artist living in Gainesville, Florida. Her comics and illustrations have appeared in The Nib, The Toast, Newsweek, Narrative.ly, Symbolia, Modern Farmer, Speculative Relationships and other publications.
